Desktop Graphic

This is the result of my desktop graphic assignment. I chose to download Picasa 3 from Google Inc. Google has a short demo/tutorial about Picasa 3 that can be accessed from this link

Picasa 3 took 9.58 MB of storage space on my computer and took only a matter of seconds to download and install it on my computer.

I chose this graphic program due to it being one of the many programs and features we are utilizing via Google (i.e. Gmail, Blogger, etc.) I wanted to stay with a reliable and dependable system for safety and security for the duration of this class. The photograph you are currently looking at was downloaded to my computer last year. I uploaded it to Picasa 3 and did several features with it. First, I learned how and successfully inserted a caption on the photo (Ala Too.....Kyrgyzstan) and I also geotaged this photo via Google Earth). Picasa 3 has many features and I anticipate it will take me a few days to learn about them. What I liked most about Picasa 3 in regards to teaching/student learning is the geotag feature of photos. My content area is social studies and I like the idea of being able to actually mark the exact location on Earth that a photograph was taken from and then actually watching Google Earth pinpoint it. This is an excellent tool to assist students in learning about the world.
